Overview of the Lesson Plan:
This lesson plan is about the book Creative English 3, Unit 2, Lesson 4B.- Juvenile 5. The objective of this planned Lesson 4B is
to wrap up the previous Lessons 3A, 3B, and 4A. The theme of lessons 3A and 3B is “Home Rules”, using “HAVE TO”, "CAN", "NOT HAVE TO", and “CAN´T” to express OBLIGATION and PERMISSION. The theme of lesson 4A is “School Rules”, using MUST " and “MUST NOT” to express OBLIGATION AND PROHIBITION. Lesson 4B will allow the students to practice and use these modal verbs.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of these classes, Ss will be able to use certain modal verbs in a meaningful way, that is, they´ll be able to talk and share ideas about their own home and school rules by correctly expressing what are obligations, permissions, prohibitions, and even not necessary actions in these settings. Moreover, they´ll be able to use them while building up cultural awareness by researching different behaviors behaviors and rules from other countries.

Voice Thread
Assessment:
ThiThiss lesson will offer Ss the opportunity to practice modals using the four skills through specific steps to guide them. First, they'll do exercises in order to fix the structures by recognizing the situations in which to use the appropriate modal(s). Then, they will be able to talk to each other about their own lives and also write some of these examples, personalizing the grammar point. After that, they will record their authentic, meaningful examples on Voice Thread. Finally, they'll be able to listen to themselves and their peers, which can help improve their learning process.
Extension:
Juvenile 5 Wiki Project
Ss will build a wiki. They should look up information about rules and behaviors in different countries regarding laws, school rules, social behaviors, family habits, working issues, housing, and anything else they can think of, and use the appropriate modal verbs when they are describing those situations. This wiki will also be useful in Juveniles 6 and 7 when they compare students´ lives as well as social issues regarding housing and work conditions in different countries.
